Breakfast Casserole

6 slices of preferably old bread that has begun to get stale torn into small pieces

7 eggs well beaten

1 small can of mild green chilis

1 cup of milk

1 lb porkbreakfast sausage cooked and drained

8 oz of monterrey Jack cheese grated

 

Directions:

1.       Combine the first four ingredients in a large bowl, cover with plastic wrap and put in your fridge overnight. 

2.       In the morning, combine the sausage and the cheese with the mixture in the bowl and pour it into a greased 9X11 pan.

3.        Bake this in a 350 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until the eggs are solid to the touch in the center and the top has begun to brown. 

4.       Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
